What an incredible wedding day for Megan & Tim…I am still reeling just thinking back to how much fun I had. Not only was I able to reconnect with many of my brides from the past, but these two put their complete trust in me. No question. And that kind of trust, I do not take lightly! I was free to capture things as I wanted, and that freedom has led to some of my favorite wedding images to date. I already have a canvas print of the stunning Megan in my office! I also discovered my favorite KC venue at this wedding…the Terrace on Grand (see vendor list below for link). An incredible space for an amazing party!
It was an absolute honor to work with your family again, and you all took such good care of me (complete with my own seat at a table for dinner!) I felt like a part of the day, not just a vendor.
Enjoy your wonderfully-LONG slideshow here!

10 years ago, Laura and Brandon committed themselves to one another with a tiny wedding ceremony. Laura borrowed her friends’ black dress, and said that someday they would have a “real wedding”. Three kids, and several transfers later (Brandon is in the service) she did just that! Their beautiful wedding was a reality, and I am so humbled that I was able to share in it. Everything from her beautiful white dress, intimate ceremony with close family and friends, and powerful emotions shared throughout the day made it incredibly special. I even heard her say to Brandon during their first dance “This is so much more meaningful today than it ever could have been back then…”
Thank you both for showing everyone what an amazing marriage & connection you have — and here’s to many many many more years!

Happy Monday everyone! Today is the official start of my “stay-cation” week…and what better way to kick it off than with a beautiful wedding at a local winery!
Stacie and Matt planned their destination wedding for Hermann, MO, at the Stone Hill Winery. It was a gorgeous location, and I was beyond excited as soon as I drove into the venue. Stacie was relaxed as could be, laughing and telling stories as her hair and makeup were done. The First Moment with Matt was super-sweet, and they (along with their wedding party) were so tough as we walked around outside in the heat & humidity! The best part was being able to work in the cellar underground…and WOW I love those images! The ceremony was very personal and touching — lots of happy-tears were shed. And the reception? Dancing galore, followed by an after-party!
To Stacie and Matt…I want to thank you for including me on your special day. I felt more like family than a vendor for your occasion, and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the gesture. It was a true honor!

As a side-note — Stacie is an amazing graphic designer, who did her own amazing illustration work for the details of her wedding (seen in the slideshow)! She will be offering her services to any brides who are interested…so let me know and I can pass along her contact information.

What an incredible day June 5th was…
I have known Rosa since she was a little girl, and to see her all grown up as a stunning bride, I was speechless! She prepared for the day in her childhood home, which is so neat because I was able to use things from her bedroom for the detail images. There is something poetic about putting on your wedding dress in the room where you literally grew up. The wedding party was a lot of fun — and tough through the heat and humidity. It was certainly a HOT day! They danced into the night, and it was a pleasure to share the day with these two. I believe they are leaving for their honeymoon soon?? Have fun!!
