November 4th was my last wedding of the year — and what an incredible day it was.  The weather could not have been nicer, the leaves could not have been brighter, and this couple could not have been more in love!
It was a day of fun and laughter, and I seriously wanted to take these two home with me.  Megan has the most incredible smile that beams with kindness, and Rodger looks at Megan in a way words cannot do justice.  The girls were beauti-fied at Megan’s parents home, and their first moment at the church was perfect.  Need I say more really?  Megan and Rodger, thank you for being an incredible couple to end my 2011 wedding year.  I hope you had a great time on your honeymoon!

I absolutely love when brides and grooms do what THEY want for their wedding day — so naturally I loved Amanda & Nate for the thought they put into exactly how things would happen.  While we did a few images with the wedding party before the ceremony, they elected to only focus on the two of them afterwards in their beautiful getaway car…it was lovely!  They enjoyed some time alone, and I was able to capture lots of portraits with them around Leavenworth, KS.  The weather could not have been better, and the leaves were alive with color.  I loved this couple from the moment we met, and their engagement session in Chicago (where they live) was just a hint of the fun we’d have on the big day.  Congratulations you two, enjoy your images!

Camo and deer antlers…not what you typically hear when you are talking about a wedding reception, right?  Well Erin & Ryan really made the reception all about THEM, and it was gorgeous!  Ryan is all about hunting, and the details Erin included were perfect.  “The Hunt is Over” jacket and server, the camo-deer garters…& the best part was Ryan’s camo-vest for the reception!
I had the best time working with these two because they are so relaxed, and head-over-heels in love with one another.  They gave me a TON of time to photograph them, and even time to get to the reception early to photograph the details (before the guests were allowed inside)!  The day was gorgeous, the leaves were bright a colorful, and Erin & Ryan had a perfect wedding day with family & friends.  I’m so excited to share the images!

Where do I even begin?  Camille & Bret’s wedding had every detail in place, and everything happened just the way it should.  You probably remember their engagement session in Chicago (since they live there) — which was a complete blast.  Ever since she booked me I feel like Camille and I have become great friends.  I was always updated on the latest plans/ideas, and loved everything that she was putting together!  The day finally arrived, and I was photographing her impeccable details when I noticed a letter from her late-Mother.  There are no words to describe what an amazing piece this was…Judy was truly was present in spirit for her daughter’s wedding day.  The ceremony was gorgeous, and these two committed themselves to one another forever.  We ran around downtown for some photos, and the wedding party was absolutely hilarious!  The dancing lasted way into the night, and I couldn’t have been happier to be a part of it.  Congratulations to Camille & Bret — I wish you guys nothing but the best!

If rain is considered lucky on your wedding day — then these two are going to have luck to spare!  On Sept. 3rd, the day began with some pretty warm-temperatures.  As we were out in the middle of a field, we could see the clouds and feel the wind suddenly pick-up…and while it felt refreshing, we knew that the drops were heading our way!  I always keep golf-umbrellas in my trunk, and it’s a good thing I do.  The rain started POURING, and the kick-butt groomsmen were ready and running towards us with them.  In a flash the bride was covered with about 5 umbrellas, and we stood in the rain and simply waited for it to pass…I will never forget it!  Eventually it did pass, and we were able to grab a few more images outside with a very deep-blue sky.

Nicole and Brian’s wedding day was full of fun and laughter — the way it should be.  Congratulations you two, I wish you nothing but the best!
