Britta | Senior Session

Filed under: SeniorsAugust 25th, 2009

I KNOW you could not have forgotten the sneak image I posted of Britta HERE…well it is time for the feature post!  I have known this girl for years, most of the time I see her at the lake where everyone is just relaxin’ having a great time.  So I knew that she was going to be a GREAT subject for me!  Her Mom really trusted me to pick out some locations for these images, since we wanted a bit of the “country” feel — and she even laid down in a burr field for me!  Now that is trust!  Thank you Britta for having so much fun, and sharing your beauty both inside and out!  Did I mention she has rockin’ music taste?  Check out her slideshow!

…I had to post ONE image from today’s Senior Session.  We are leaving town tomorrow — and I will be back in the office on Monday.  Canoe time!

I knew as soon as I clicked the shutter on this one that it was going to be a favorite.  Britta, you are stunning girl!

I am back!  And I know that Austin’s Mom has been waiting anxiously for these images, so I will be brief with the words.  We met downtown and I knew right away it was going to be a fun shoot.  Austin was totally laid back, all smiles, & ready for anything.  He likes wakeboarding and 4-wheeling — so I knew how cool he was right away!!  It was pretty warm on this day, but it did not phase Austinone bit.

Enjoy the Blog show!

quality time!

As any self-employed person will tell you — it is hard to stop working.  Like ever.  Dave comes home from work, and I greet him with a kiss and stay planted at my desk.  I think/say things like “If I can just get these two things done, I can relax for the night…” and before I know it he is telling me goodnight!

I love what I do — but I also know it is good for my soul to take some time away and spend it with friends and family.  Disconnect a little, and recharge.  I am leaving for a Lake Birthday celebration tomorrow in the Ozarks, then home for a couple days before we leave again to take my family down to Lake Truman for the 4th of July weekend.  It will be time away from the computer, and with the ones that I love!

To those of you waiting on sessions, thank you so much for your patience!  On deck is;

Austin

Kelly + Nate

Kelli + Tim

Lindsay + Travis’ Wedding

With all the heat this week I had a lot of reschedules, so about 6 sessions the week I return plus a wedding on Saturday and a Maternity session on Sunday.  I will be back in action starting July 6th, so everyone have a wonderful 4th of July!!

Kansas City Senior | Kayla

Filed under: SeniorsMay 5th, 2009

Last week, Kayla opted to head downtown for her session — and I could just hug her for it!  She is a future photographer herself, and I understand (since I have been in her shoes) that it is scary to be in FRONT of the camera.  But she was a natural, and we shared photoshop-tips and talked about how she cuts her hair and dyes it all herself!  The week before this shoot, her hair was pink in the front — it was rockin!  She has a bright future for sure, and I cannot wait to see where photography will take her.  I posted THREE sneaks already, and here are some more along with her Blog Show…enjoy!
