Christi & Jeremy | Wedding Portrait Session

What do you do when you receive your images from a photographer, and you are not happy?  What if those images were from your wedding day, and you only have TEN images of your husband and yourself?  That is just what happened to my friend Christi, and once she received the online gallery from her original wedding photographer she was less-than-thrilled (to put it mildly).  She immediately called me to setup a portrait session, and I am so glad that she did.  I flew to Wichita, photographed these two at their church & on their lovely farm, then flew home (even getting a couple images of their land from the sky).  It was so much fun!

Every bride deserves beautiful images to hang up in her home, and I am so happy that I was able to give that to Christi & Jeremy.  While the images might not be from the actual wedding day, I am confident that we captured the wonderful love that is shared between them!  Slideshow here, set to their first dance.

Beth + Roy | Just Because

I love when couples call me for images…just because.  Beth and Roy have been married for a few years, and thought that it would be great to have some new photographs done!  They were a lot of fun, and so completely connected.  I love that!  We walked around downtown, and enjoyed the nice weather just chatting away.  Thanks you two for being so much fun!

Enjoy their slideshow here!

Aurelia + Jubal | Day-After Session!

When Aurelia contacted me, she knew that I was not available for her wedding date — but I was so thrilled when she mentioned she wanted a Day-After session (where you put your wedding clothes back on a few days after the ceremony for some relaxed images)!  And to make it better, she wanted to end it with a “Trash the Dress” feel involving a Kansas City fountain.  Jubal even joined in the fun and soaked his wedding-suit!  We had a blast on this warm day in KC despite the fact that I locked my keys in my trunk the moment I arrived — thanks again to Dave for coming to get me with the spare key!! :)

Enjoy their super-fun slideshow here!

kelly + nate | my a-team!

Most of you have seen the new promo-video that LemonLime put together for me — swoon!  It is incredible…and the feedback has been nothing short of amazing.  When we were planning the shoot, I knew just the people I wanted to work with for it.  Kelly and Nate!  You may remember Kelly from her session awhile back — the adorable clothes, sweet smile.  This time Nate wanted to be a part of it, and they were amazing.  This wasn’t the typical shoot (since I was being photographed while working) but they were so patient, and worked hard for me!  Thank you both SO much for donating your time — and being so patient, waiting for the release of the video before I posted your images!  BLOGSHOW!

quality time!

As any self-employed person will tell you — it is hard to stop working.  Like ever.  Dave comes home from work, and I greet him with a kiss and stay planted at my desk.  I think/say things like “If I can just get these two things done, I can relax for the night…” and before I know it he is telling me goodnight!

I love what I do — but I also know it is good for my soul to take some time away and spend it with friends and family.  Disconnect a little, and recharge.  I am leaving for a Lake Birthday celebration tomorrow in the Ozarks, then home for a couple days before we leave again to take my family down to Lake Truman for the 4th of July weekend.  It will be time away from the computer, and with the ones that I love!

To those of you waiting on sessions, thank you so much for your patience!  On deck is;

Austin

Kelly + Nate

Kelli + Tim

Lindsay + Travis’ Wedding

With all the heat this week I had a lot of reschedules, so about 6 sessions the week I return plus a wedding on Saturday and a Maternity session on Sunday.  I will be back in action starting July 6th, so everyone have a wonderful 4th of July!!
