For Christmas this past year, some of my favorite people purchased a Gift Card for a photo session.  The gift was for their parents, and we finally had the opportunity to use it!  The weather was nice, and the family gathers at “Grandma and Grandpa’s” house each Sunday for dinner.  So why not throw in some photos while everyone is there too? :)  The kids did a great job, and we managed to utilize all the hard work that goes into keeping the backyard so lovely…it was a pleasure W-family!

It was a very August day — and in Kansas, that means HOT.  If you stood outside for just a few minutes the perspiration began!  But with a wedding party, and couple as awesome as this one?  That all didn’t matter!  Amanda and Ryan had a beautiful First Moment at the church, so we were able to wrap-up all of the family images before the service.  It was beyond sweet, and Ryan was ecstatic to see his bride.  I scouted out some locations out South, and the bus with the wedding party (no A/C mind you) followed me there.  They completely ROCKED it!  The reception had a packed dance floor, and tons of family and friends.  It was an amazing day, to start their amazing life together…congrats you two, and enjoy your slideshow HERE!

Betsy contacted me from up North — asking me to be her wedding photographer at the Jersey Shore!  I was so excited not only for the location, but also because I know that I will be working with an AMAZING group of people.  You see, she was referred by April & Brian (whom I adore) so I knew we would hit it off immediately.  They were planning a quick visit to Kansas City, and wanted the engagement session to be on the Plaza since Betsy spent some time studying abroad in Spain.  If you don’t know about our Plaza, click here!  The also brought along their sweet dog Moose, who was all about walking around and checking the place out.  My face hurt from smiling and laughing during this shoot — so I cannot wait for the wedding guys!  Blogshow!

And did I mention, I will ALSO be shooting Ben’s sister’s wedding (and her and Betsy are great friends too) — so they jumped into a couple shots at the end!  And they did the leg position ALL on their own.  Destined to be sisters!

What a gorgeous day, for a wonderful couple.  From the moment I arrived the mood was fun and excited, and it continued for the ENTIRE day!  I know that Margaret is anxiously waiting — patiently — while I was on vacation to see her wedding images.  So I will keep the words VERY short, and send you along to her Blogshow!
