Oh Miss Lucy — you get cuter and cuter each time I see you!  And this time you could smile at me…and share a giggle or two.
The day was HOT, but Lucy was a trooper.  Traditionally the 4-month session is done at home, but Lucy already has had TWO sessions there!  So it made sense to head outdoors.  We found a park close to Daddy’s work, and had a fun and quick shoot during last week!

I remember the day that Christine and Chad were married like it was yesterday…and what a MODEL bride Christine was.  Even with a broken foot and a boot, she was willing to walk all over some treacherous ground to get her images!  Imagine how excited I was for them to hear they were expecting a baby boy…and he was ALL SMILES for me this day!  The hundreds of expressions he had were just priceless, plus it was great fun just to catch-up with these two and see them as parents.  Austin joined the Baby’s First Year program, so you will be seeing him again over the coming year…*fist bump*!

8-months has to be one of my FAVORITE ages to photograph little ones.  They can sit up by themselves, but aren’t totally mobile yet!  And they can react/respond to me (and my crazy animal noises) which make it extra fun.  Riley finally had her first session outdoors, and it was a great success!  Sister Sam took a little while to warm-up to me, but once she did she was a super-smiley girl.  The next time I see Riley will be for her 1-Year…cannot wait to see her attach some cake!

Your first home has a special place in your heart.  This family is leaving theirs for a new one this Summer, so they wanted the last session of Chase’s “Baby’s First Year” program to take place there…and I could not have agreed more!  We really used spaces that had a lot of the home as a backdrop, and I am sure the kiddos (and parents!) will look back at these images with fond memories in the years to come!  Hard to believe after his Newborn, 4-month and 8-month session…he is the grown toddler now!

There are many special things about what I do — several that I cannot really put into words.  But being with people during the biggest milestones of their lives is an unbelievable honor.  I am feeling very blessed today…

Marisa and Ryan were married back in April of 2009, and I was so excited for them when I read on Facebook they were expecting!  Little Carson made it safely into this world, and I was ready with my camera.  If you recall from their E-Session Ryan plays the guitar, so after he left to go to work Marisa asked to incorporate his guitar again as a little surprise for the new Daddy…so sweet!  And Carson wore the little hat I made him like a champ — even though I felt bad covering up that sweet baby-hair.
