I am all about incorporating things into an e-session that have meaning to the couple in front of my camera. Even if that something is a small rock…that possibly had something to do with how Robert proposed to Alison…which is a sweet & simple reminder of that pivotal day in their lives. I absolutely love when a couple can easily make one another laugh…constantly!
Kara and Jeff have to be one of the best at it, as they were laughing and making ME laugh right along with them! And when Jeff’s Bacon-Wallet was casually mentioned in conversation, I had to get a shot of it. We did a little bit of nature, then a little bit of urban, and I seriously had a blast with these guys. I cannot wait for your wedding!

This is a very special session — one that came together at the last minute before Wes was shipped out to serve our country. They were so FUN together, and Wes had Caitlin & I giggling the entire time! And I have to thank Caitlin for letting me put a vintage hair-piece on her (found the previous week at a thrift store). As soon as she stepped out of the car in her second outfit/dress, I knew that piece had found the perfect subject…

I love when my clients are brave, and unafraid of the elements…especially when it comes to snow. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Julia and Jimmy for their session out at Loose Park — where Jimmy asked Julia to marry him! It was cold, and we walked through a LOT of snow (not to mention some other things) and had lots of laughs. It is so much fun to just watch these two smile at one another — they are definitely meant to be! I even love the “rivalry” of the colleges, that Jimmy really wanted included at the end of the session — please note the t-shirts. Enjoy their slideshow here and I cannot wait for their wedding day!
I posted a sneak image…and now it is time for the full story!
I met Max five or so years ago, when I photographed his High School Senior pictures. I was new to digital back then, but I remember he was a lot of fun and easy-going. So imagine my surprise when I receive an e-mail from him in September, telling me he had a wonderful plan to propose to his girlfriend Hannah. That includes pictures! Of course I was all for it — and so excited for him. So we set a date, and waited as the weeks went by. Then Hannah had a dance-conflict come up, so we had to switch the date…no big deal, but Max was bursting at the seams for this day to arrive!
It was finally time…and the temperatures took a major plummet. Like 12 degrees for the HIGH that day! Not to mention the snow. I contacted Max, asking if he wanted to wait for the weather to be a bit nicer, but I should have known better… We started the session just as any other…I took them to a couple of spots that I love (really quick because it was freezing) and then we jumped into my car for the final location. We had planned the magic words I was to say — “Let’s do my favorite photo right now…” – and he started a very special speech as she realized what was happening. It was an amazing moment, that I was honored to be a part of. We took a few more images, and then they were off to call friends and family to share in the good news!

PS: Max had the ring a bit too small — but thanks to that cold, Hannah was able to fit it on her finger for the rest of the images!!
