To kick-off the holiday weekend I photographed the wedding of Michelle & Tim — and what an amazing day it was!  These two are just amazing and genuine people, and I knew that the day would be FULL of classic details and a whole lot of love.  I was right — her dress has to be one of the most beautiful I have ever seen!  I couldn’t narrow my favorites down at all, but below is my attempt and the SLIDESHOW set to their first dance!

This has to be one of the best "First See" times ever.
Michelle knew that he would be a little emotional, but this brought a tear to MY eye!

It is always fun to see friends when you are working a wedding — I used to work with these gals at a Marketing company, and it was great to catch up!

So this past week and a half not only have I been busy with the business stuff, but it was my BIRTHDAY so there were all kinds of fun things going on!  I thought that I would post a quick highlight reel, because it would be too much to do a post about everything!! 🙂

First up was the Chiefs game against the Saints — while they didn’t play their best I did get to see Tony G. out there (yes, I own a life-size cutout of the guy) and hang with the parents for an evening!

Next up was a birthday celebration with some of my good friends from a previous job.  One of them made my actual wedding cake, so when she placed a white box in my lap I went CRAZY!  My own birthday cake, that tastes like wedding cake!!!

On the actual DAY of my birthday, my friends organized a trip to the Royals game.  It was t-shirt Tuesday so that sweetened the deal for sure.  It was a great night, and Caiden received a certificate for his first Royals game!

And last but not least, I got to enjoy lunch, pedicures, and some wine with a new great friend AND fellow photographer Adrienne Maples.  It is just wonderful to talk business with someone who understands it as much as you do — and to bounce ideas off one another!

Ok — so I am off to shoot a wedding today, and then I am out of town for some much-needed R&R until Wednesday!  And there isn’t much internet access at the lake, so I will return calls/e-mails when I return — have a great holiday weekend everyone!

My last session of the week was with this beautiful family — the men opted to stay home. 🙂  We met at 9 AM out at Loose Park, and it was just a PERFECT morning for photographs.  A little overcast, a light breeze, and the best part was that we had the park to ourselves!  This little one just wanted to be with Mom for most of the shoot — just look at those blue eyes!  Below are the top picks, and the SLIDESHOW set to Jack Johnson per the sister’s request! 🙂

On Tuesday this week I got to meet the adorable little Lucas — and check out that beautiful hair!  He did so well for being just 3 weeks old, but tuckered-out at the end of the session and just decided he was going to sleep instead… 🙂  Lucky for me, babies are super photogenic no matter WHAT they do!  HERE IS THE SLIDESHOW, and enjoy the sneak preview!
