When I think back on this session — the word that really stands out in my mind is HAPPY. You could just see it on both their faces…when they look at their darling little girl. Have to be one of the happiest families I have ever seen together — I was so honored to be there to capture it. I have a lot of blogging to do, so on to the pictures and her BLOGSHOW!!
It is not often that I am photographing a one-year session, ON the actual birthday! But that was the case with little Aidan — and what a sweetie he was for me. The sky had threatened rain all day long, and just in time for our shoot the clouds started to move away and leave us with a nice breeze. Perfect! Mom even had a special shirt made for him to wear as he tore into a cupcake. It was so much fun to watch him — and he was happy as a clam as long as he wasn’t touching any of the grass.

When some families have been in your life for awhile, going for a photo session is just like visiting old friends. That is the case with this family. Almost 3 years ago I went to photograph their daughter Lucy for the first time — in her green chair. The same chair we have had her sit in for each of her sessions thereafter. But NOW, there is a new little girl in the house — and she is just as lovely as Miss Lucy. Welcome Sydney! She is the first little girl I have placed in my vintage pink suitcase, and she was a great sport. I wanted to put each image from the slideshow up here, but check it out RIGHT HERE!

Last week I journeyed to the home of a sweet little baby — and he was ready for his close-up! I met Kelly back in December of 2007 when she was in a wedding I photographed. Well she is a lovely mother of two boys, and I had so much fun with them! Brandon was all about playing in the sandbox, or watching his favorite cartoons. A little bit of hide-and-seek was in order to get some serious giggles. Chase was as calm as could be…even lifting up his head a bit to see what I was doing! It was adorable, and I am so happy that he has joined my Baby’s First Year program. Enjoy their BLOGSHOW!
When I walked in the front door to see Trey for his second session (he is a Baby’s First Year member) I could not believe my eyes. What a difference a few months makes for a baby! See his newborn session here. It is so fun to see his personality shine through. He wasn’t too sure about me though — with all of the toys, Mom & Dad, and a bottle he still had those beautiful blue eyes fixed on me the whole time. After a good snack, he was ready to show us some of his sweet smiles! Enjoy his Blogshow!
