“Matron” of honor

For those of you who do not follow me on Twitter, my younger (and only) sister is officially engaged!! They are planning the wedding for next August. I am so happy for her and Jared! This also means that I have the privilege of being in the wedding instead of working it. SO…MUCH…FUN! And to make it official, I received a package in the mail about a week ago. How cute is this!?

I am guessing they ran out of stickers that say “Matron” of honor…and I am 100% ok with that. And you can see she has selected Green and Yellow for her Summer day!

Of course the answer is YES…and I simply cannot wait!

Rachael + Andrew | E-Session

I met up with Rachael and Andrew on one of the nicest late-Summer days we have had so far. The heat wave was making its way out of town, and despite a few nerves these two were ready for their engagement session!
They will be getting married in a couple of years but wanted to have these images done now — I am so glad they did. They wanted a little bit of nature and city so we did just that. Thank you both for trusting me to select your locations, and I will stop chatting now so you can see your images!

Daniel | 8-Month Session

Whenever I am working with little ones on the Baby’s First Year plan, I like to incorporate something that really shows how much they grow and change. For Daniel’s newborn session I placed him in a vintage Pepsi crate and he took a nice little nap (see the image here). Back then he could lay lengthwise inside that crate! Well at 8-months, he is sitting up and moving around on his own…so I wanted to bring the crate back before he was 1-year and could easily step out of it! We met bright and early at the park with the whole family, and it was a LOT of fun. I loved that they brought Daddy’s golf-equipment, as that turned out to be one of my favorite shots…

Kohen | Newborn Session

This family wins for having the CLOSEST family session to my house — and will likely hold that title for a long time since we happen to share backyards!
I have been photographing Xander for some time, and now he has welcomed a sweet little brother into the house. And they look exactly alike! Dad even showed me two images of the boys at the same age, and I could not tell them apart. I have a feeling these two are going to be VERY close to one another. Despite Xander’s reaction when we asked him to hold Kohen for the first time…the image is priceless!

Allie | Senior Session

I have been SO DARN EXCITED to post this session — it was one of the most fun I have ever done, and Allie completely rocked her Senior Portraits! Her excitement for the session was definitely contagious, and it started when she e-mailed me the images of her outfits. Everything was straight from Anthropologie, and she even had some accessories and “props” that she wanted to incorporate to make the shoot unique to her. Love it! So then I had some ideas too — involving cupcakes from my fave place…and the rest is history. Her sisters joined in for some images, which was a joy. There is nothing like the bond between girls! Thank you for driving all the way from Great Bend for this photo session, and good luck choosing which ones you want for prints!!!
