I still cannot believe it was time for Avery’s last session of her Baby’s First Year.  How can a whole year have passed since the first time I met this sweet little girl?  Each time was better and better though — and her smile is just the best!  But even funnier was the way to get her to smile.  Many of you out there my age grew up with Saved by the Bell (oh Zach Morris and your “mobile phone” and Ken-doll hair) — so perhaps you recall the episode where they created a little public-service piece.  The slogan was “There’s no hope, with dope!” — and if you speak that very line Avery lights up with an ear-to-ear grin!  Mom and Dad aren’t sure why, but whatever works right?
We were also able to use her pink tutu in each session — how cool!  They selected a great song for Avery’s slideshow, so see it here!

Of course, there was CAKE! :)

Well it is that time of year again — I have ended weddings/portraits for 2009 (except for a handful of Baby’s First Year members that have a milestone in December)  and it has been an incredible year.  I will be taking tomorrow through Sunday off work to enjoy some much-needed relaxation and time with my wonderful family.  Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and leave some comment-love about what YOU are thankful for!!

It was an incredible Fall day — the sun was shining bright and the temperature was warm.  Wait, am I really talking about November?

Susie and David are an amazing pair.  They have been together for eight years, and they made sure that each part of this day really reflected who they were.  The ceremony was intimate and romantic at the Pilgrim Chapel, where a poem was read to the attendees that David’s Grandfather had written to her Grandmother on THEIR wedding day.  Can you believe that?  I had many tears streaming down my face in the back, it was so special.  These two also just set me free on where to take them for their images after the First Moment.  So we had all of the images completed before the ceremony began.  It was PERFECT!  First we stopped at a red mechanic shop, then a high school, and finally a small neighborhood full of fall colors.  They gave me plenty of time to capture lots of images…so let’s see some!

It is hard to recall how beautiful each Fall is in Kansas City — but this one has to be one of the most beautiful I have seen in awhile.  For a couple weeks there, each park in this area was a perfect image of what “Fall” is to me.  Becca and Alex were lucky to have their session scheduled during this amazing season!  When I met with Becca at my home, I knew that we were going to have fun together.  She is an outgoing, super sweet girl who’s excitement is contagious!  She is planning a lot of fun stuff for her wedding, and I cannot wait to capture it all.  Her and Alex were so great together in front of my camera — and really had fun!  Enjoy the Blogshow here, and favorites below!

Have you ever noticed that I get to work with a lot of happy and adorable babies?

Danny has somehow grown to be 8-months old already, and if I thought he smiled a lot at his 4-month session, this one was even brighter!  He giggles, and grabs anything he can to put in his mouth.  With it being the Fall season, that meant a lot of leaves were sampled for flavor out at the park. :)  The next time you see this little guy, it will be for his 1-year session!  Cannot believe it…enjoy the blog show here!
