Amanda & Ryan | Wedding Day

It was a very August day — and in Kansas, that means HOT. If you stood outside for just a few minutes the perspiration began! But with a wedding party, and couple as awesome as this one? That all didn’t matter! Amanda and Ryan had a beautiful First Moment at the church, so we were able to wrap-up all of the family images before the service. It was beyond sweet, and Ryan was ecstatic to see his bride. I scouted out some locations out South, and the bus with the wedding party (no A/C mind you) followed me there. They completely ROCKED it! The reception had a packed dance floor, and tons of family and friends. It was an amazing day, to start their amazing life together…congrats you two, and enjoy your slideshow HERE!

two-nine

Tomorrow…that is the big day, celebrating my 29th year of life. Only one year left in the twenties! How did that happen!? Was high school REALLY that long ago? And K-State football games in the student section…simply cannot be so many years past. At the same time, I have so many sweet memories — and pictures — of the people I have met and the things I have done. I am blessed…simply put. And it is something that I try to make note of each and every day.

Thank you to all of my supporting family, amazing friends, and incredible clients. I am taking the weekend off, but stay tuned because Amanda & Ryan’s wedding post is coming up at 10 AM! Below are some images of the flowers Dave brought home for me too…what a romantic.

Aidan | 1-Year Session

It is not often that I am photographing a one-year session, ON the actual birthday! But that was the case with little Aidan — and what a sweetie he was for me. The sky had threatened rain all day long, and just in time for our shoot the clouds started to move away and leave us with a nice breeze. Perfect! Mom even had a special shirt made for him to wear as he tore into a cupcake. It was so much fun to watch him — and he was happy as a clam as long as he wasn’t touching any of the grass. I will call this one JOY…because you can almost hear his laughter when you look at the image!

Britta | Senior Session

I KNOW you could not have forgotten the sneak image I posted of Britta HERE…well it is time for the feature post! I have known this girl for years, most of the time I see her at the lake where everyone is just relaxin’ having a great time. So I knew that she was going to be a GREAT subject for me! Her Mom really trusted me to pick out some locations for these images, since we wanted a bit of the “country” feel — and she even laid down in a burr field for me! Now that is trust! Thank you Britta for having so much fun, and sharing your beauty both inside and out! Did I mention she has rockin’ music taste? Check out her slideshow!

Amy | Bridal Session

Well the day is finally here — Amy and Ryan’s wedding day! That means, that it is safe to post her Bridal Portrait from the beginning of the month. The day was REALLY hot — and we walked around the entire Nelson Art Gallery. She was SO amazing to work with, and her sister came along to assist as well. I started working with Amy, and immediately realized that she had a background in dance. That just made my DAY! Those graceful arms and hands — she was perfect. The wind whipped through her dress at a few locations and it could not have been planned better! Enough with the talk — images!

I happen to bring along this little hair-piece, and once we were done with all of the bridals I KNEW she would be perfect for something a little bit different…she nailed it! Better than I ever could have imagined…check her out!
