Phew!

Have you had enough of all the new stuff/changes/etc??  The biggest one would be this brand new Website AND Blog in one.  I decided that I never really updated my old website, so I wanted to have everything in one place!  I have been a busy gal over here…and now it is time for a little vacation with some of my closest friends!  We are off to celebrate a friends’ wedding, and yes folks I will be a GUEST.  I have had all of this stuff to post under a “personal” heading, but just have not had the time.  So sit back and relax, this is going to be a long-winded post before I leave town for the week!

1. MOVIES
There are lots of great movies coming out this month/soon after, and of course many are chick flicks.  So who’s with me to see some of these???  I know that Laura wants to see these too, since she blogged about a couple of these too.  Click the images to see their trailers…

2.  T-SHIRTS!
Remember my recent Twitter contest, where the winner had to tell me how many weddings I shot in 2008 in order to win a free Peters Photography t-shirt?  Well here is Misty, wearing her sweet tee!  Be on the lookout for some more Twitter contests because I have a lot more shirts to hand out. :)

3.  The Kansas City A-List
I am overjoyed that someone out there has nominated me AGAIN for this title.  I was still in shock that I won in 2008, so it was a wonderful surprise to be notified.  The voting starts on MONDAY AUGUST 3rd…so if you think that I should win again, head on over to the site and start casting your votes!

4.  BEHIND the SCENES
This is just fun — my assistant Jenni came along to a couple of my weddings this Summer, and the last one she attended she got a couple images of me “in action”.  It is funny to see what you look like, especially when you are crouching in a corner, under a wedding dress, by a window to get a close-up Macro shot of the wedding rings.  Here is me shooting, and the resulting image!

Well that about wraps it up for me everyone.  I hope that you enjoy the new digs over here — and have a GREAT week and weekend!

It’s funny how the world works sometimes.  Michelle and Tim were married in Sept. 2007 at the Country Club Christian Church — and we scheduled their little one’s newborn shoot many weeks ago.  As luck would have it, I was back at that church just two weddings ago, for the first time since their wedding!  It brought back a lot of memories, and I was more than excited to go and see this family.  I just know that they are going to be AMAZING parents.  Tim has even gotten used to all the PINK… :)  Congratulations on your new little family — she is the sweetest.  Enjoy the blogshow here!

Remember my parasols from wedding photos?  I found a new way to use them… :)

isabel + her family!

Of course you remember the adorable little girl in the monkey hat — Isabel.  Well she is back, but this time she brought all of her family too!  I must say she is becoming quite the professional when it comes to being happy in front of a camera.  Everyone in the family had a turn with the little one, and she made US laugh during the process too.  They are all an amazing family, so enough of my words…lets see some images.  BLOGSHOW!

Lia + Nate | E-Session

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, and it felt wonderful to just be outside and strolling in the sun.  That was the day I photographed Lia and Nate, and I truly enjoyed the way they put one another at ease.  The subtle messages that passed between them spoke volumes — these two are such a great match.  They even brought along their dog — who was SO well trained, and posed for my camera!  They picked  a very sweet song for their slideshow, so enjoy that here.  I cannot wait to shoot their 2010 wedding.  Thank you for having some fun with me!

bartel + lovell families

It is always fun to reunite with a bride from my past — especially when they do not live in the state!  Danielle and Ryan purchased family portraits for their parents, and the day finally arrived for the sessions.  Since they were individual sessions, we decided to overlap them just a little bit so we could get a handful of images with both sides together!  Now these were not your traditional family portraits — which is SUPER fun!  Danielle had some ideas (jumping), and I had some ideas (leaves), and we ended up with some hilarious images.  Enjoy the crazy pictures below, and see the slideshow here for more!
