Nate + 1 more!

Little Nate is so grown — it is hard to believe I photographed him as a newborn YEARS ago.  (Here is his most recent shoot.)  Well, it is time for the family to grow by one more!  This time it is going to be a little girl — so I took the family downtown for a FUN portrait.  With the help of a few TicTacs, and laughing with this little guy we got a ton of great stuff.  I love all of his expressions — from happy to excited to pensive — he has them all!  THe first and last image in the slideshow could not be more different, which is why I love it.  Enjoy the blog show here!

Stella | Newborn Session

The baby in the basket — that is just what this sweet Stella was the day of her shoot!  My best friend gave birth to baby number two (remember her recent maternity/family pics), and now they are getting ready to move out of state.  My thoughts are with her as all of these changes happen in her life — and I know that it will be a scary, but great life-move for her and her family!  Stella looks just like Calvin did for his newborn — and Dad is already wondering how soon this little girl will break his heart… :) I love that they do not find out boy vs. girl until the day they are born!  I will miss you so much, but count on me coming out that way to visit!  Blog show!

the Chattanooga Locomotion

You know football — but did you know there is a Women’s Professional League of Football?  Not long ago I flew out to Nashville, TN to watch my great friend play a serious game of football with the Chattanooga Locomotion.

Schandra and I became great friends our senior year of high school (yes, 1998) and after graduation went our own ways to school.  But through all the moving/life changes, we have remained close friends.  I always know when I go see her, or if she is in KC we will instantly pick-up where we left off.  She is an incredible person, that people want to be around.  Not to mention an AMAZING athlete… :)

I am by no means a Sports Photographer — especially when my auto-focus on my lens decided to not work this particular night.  Manual-focusing sports-action!!??  Yeah…but I will have a slideshow up of TONS of images as soon as one of the players gets me their Team Song.  Great stuff to see!

Dave and I had a great time out there with you gals…hope to see another game soon!
