Those of you that have been reading the blog for awhile, probably remember the last time I was asked to photograph the Monks of Conception Abbey (in Conception, MO). The campus is beautiful, and I was thrilled to be asked for another visit. This time instead of focusing on the Monks/Seminarians, we wanted to shed some light on Student Life at the college. The guys were great, and I think they laughed at me a LOT during the session…but we got some great stuff, and I wanted to share some of the favorites below! And a slideshow of the best pics…

We also wanted some detail shots of the chapel…it is simply beautiful!

Saturday morning began with a lot of rain — a LOT of rain. I had planned for this during my location scouting the week before, and packed umbrellas to keep the girls dry. I walked into the church and Heather was already glowing, so I knew a little rain was not going to get her down! It was her wedding day, and she was ready for it! Ed was so excited to see his bride — and before we knew it the ceremony was minutes away.
After the ceremony we all jumped into the bus, and drove around the locations I had selected — Heather and Ed put all of their trust in me for where we were going, and I love them for it. The rain had stopped, the sun was trying to peek out of the clouds, and the wedding party was SO MUCH FUN. When they all raised their glasses for a toast in the bus, I was humbled that it was for me…what an amazing group! You have to check out the slideshow for this wedding, because the ones below are just a small slice of the greatness! Can you see a difference with Heather’s dress from ceremony vs. reception?

I met up with Karyn for some lunch and quick shopping — and since she is so ADORABLY preggo I asked if I could take a few pictures of her. Seriously folks, 5-minutes on her back deck and we got some fun images…all taken with the Tilt-shift lens. We are doing a FULL maternity shoot soon…cannot wait for the hubby to be involved too!
