It was a BEAUTIFUL August day for the wedding of Amanda & Ricky.  In the small town of Paola, KS I met the girls at the hair salon to capture the finishing touches.  You could feel the excitement in the air as the girls were completing their make-up and heading to the church.  Once everyone was ready, I placed the wedding party in the church so the couple could have their FIRST MOMENT — and it was a wonderful scene.  Then it was time to go to the Paola square for some pictures, and a really cool alley was there just begging to be photographed…but good thing pictures cannot capture smell!  They were a great wedding party, and the reception location was GORGEOUS (Evergreen).  Thanks to Encore for doing an amazing job — as usual — and enjoy the images and SLIDESHOW!

…can sometimes produce some FUNNY stuff for my camera.  This little guy decided that clothes were just too restricting for him to dance in!  I am still editing the wedding of Amanda & Ricky — so stay tuned!

He is a 4-month-old German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix, and while he will be a lot of work I know he will be a great dog.  Wish us luck in the early stages of training — and enjoy the results of his first photo shoot…

 

Sometimes a Client letter really just makes my day — and I received this one over the weekend and wanted to share it with everyone!  Carli and Jonathan (here they are on the old blog) were great clients of mine, and were an absolute pleasure to work with.  We got to ride golf carts all over, so they had a lot of fun!  Read below!

I also wanted to do some quick housekeeping — I have listed above that I am booked for portraits in September and October so hurry because November is filling up FAST!  The studio will be closed in December, with the exception of Newborns and those little ones in my Baby’s First Year program.

Also for weddings, I am booked through September of 2009 — and only taking 6 more weddings for the year.  I limit the weddings I shoot in order to provide the absolute best images and customer service to my brides.

The last shoot of the day was with a BOY — the little stinker Charlie!  And when I say stinker…I mean it!  He was so funny with his “old-man” farts, and had more expressions on his little face than I could have hoped for.  I think we caught almost ALL of them!  The weather was so pretty, we even went outside on the covered porch for some images — they look so beachy I love those images a lot.  We will be using that porch for SURE in the future when he is more mobile!  Mom and Dad selected a song that has a lot of meaning from their dating-time, so enjoy the SLIDESHOW HERE!
