I literally just got home after a 14 hour car ride, and decided I had to blog this evening about the great little vacation in Wolf Creek/Pagosa Springs, CO.  Last Wednesday 8 of us from KC started the all-day drive out West, so that we could be on the mountain for day 1 on Thursday.  We arrived to THIS AMAZING HOME and couldn’t believe how great it was.  If you are headed out that way, you really should consider staying here if you have a large group!  The morning conditions were a bit icy, but after some sunshine it softened the snow a bit and we were able to do some great skiing/boarding.  That night 4 more friends from CO joined us and we had two more days of good times.  It was warm, and we enjoyed the natural Hot Springs too — which were amazing and fun on the tired muscles… :)  Day 2 we even hiked this amazing area called Knife Ridge, which was SO SCARY, but worth it.  I didn’t get down that portion on my board very "pretty" but I made it down!

Great times — let’s start planning Whistler for 2009!

It is that time of year — the final snowboarding trip of the season.  While Dave’s new snowboarding pants didn’t arrive today (as promised by UPS) we still have a good feeling about this one. :)  I think it will be super challenging (which I love) and we have an entire HOUSE for all 12 of us.  Much better than a cramped condo!  I HOPE to have some sort of internet out there so I can blog a little about our adventures, but first we must face the 12 hour drive…booo!  Enjoy a couple of point-and-shoot images from our Feb. trip, and come back soon for 3 family sessions, a senior session, and a maternity shoot that all are waiting for some blog love!

You know the kind of cute that can stop traffic, and passerby, and make even the grumpiest person in the world stop and smile?  Well, THIS is that kind of cute…Mattias!  He has grown so much since his newborn session, and a lot of that is in the hair!  But really, he is smiling so much, and did SO well for his first outdoor session.  The wind would blow, and we would put him on the ground — he wasn’t sure WHAT was going on.  But he was a champ, and it was wonderful to hang out with this beautiful family for the afternoon.  Enjoy the SLIDESHOW RIGHT HERE Erika and Jason — see you soon!

I had two shoots on Thursday, and one more this morning to do — but of course this is a family weekend for Easter!  So they will be up and running next week, but I had to show just ONE image from each…because I got so excited after downloading both sessions!! :)  Below is 6-month-old Mattias, and high school senior Kasey!
