Out of Town!

Filed under: RP Photo in GeneralJanuary 31st, 2008

Wow — this week just FLEW by and I didn’t have a single moment to blog!  Beter late than never though right? :)
Tomorrow morning we hit the road for a long drive to Colorado — where we will be boarding 2 days in Keystone and 1 day in Vail — so wish us luck with the predicted snow!  Here are pictures from last year at this time on my new board — and hopefully I will be able to post an image or two while we are out there.  And maybe a sweet jump…

I photographed an adorable baby girl yesterday, and today was a location shoot for a wine distributor — so those images will be coming as SOON as I return next week!

Gearin’ Up…Literally

Filed under: RP Photo in GeneralJanuary 26th, 2008

This coming Thursday, Dave and I (along with sister and friends) are making the drive to Colorado for the first snowboarding trip of 2008…SKITTLEEDOO!  I love snowboarding, and thanks to my extremely patient teacher (Dave) I am comfortable on tree runs, and some scary stuff nowadays.  Last year I purchased a brand new Burton board, and I love it.  Before I was using a friends’ really old/beat-up/heavy board — no offense Sarah!  And this morning I decided it needed a little extra something — a sticker.  Wow — exciting huh? :)  Anyways, I also got a new lens for my goggles (blue iridium) and Dave waxed our boards today.  I couldn’t me more excited!  So I took a picture of all my gear, added some grunge/texture, and thought I would put it up here.

If you look real close, you can see me in the reflection of the goggles with my little point-and-shoot camera!

Skyler is 4-Months Old!

Filed under: RP Photo in GeneralJanuary 23rd, 2008

I cannot believe that little Skyler is already four months old!  It seems like just yesterday that I was photographing Lori’s maternity session, and now this beautiful little girl is smiling, laughing, and giving me some "concerned" expressions when I take her picture!  And I think that I have a new favorite baby picture — of her in that knit hat.  Can you say GAP ad?? :)  Lori & Ronnie always pick great music for their slideshows (afterall, this IS their fifth one!) and this one is no different.  Enjoy the SLIDESHOW HERE, and my favorites below!

I love this image, because it also features Lori’s paintings at the top.  Who knows, maybe she will start selling them one day? :)

That look — as if she really didn’t want me taking her picture while Mom was changing her!

the “W” Family

Filed under: RP Photo in GeneralJanuary 21st, 2008

Last week I had the privilege of photographing this beautiful family!  It was cold outside, and this family was in town from New York, but luckily Shannon’s Father builds homes — we were able to use a model for these photographs.  I think it was the most beautiful house I have ever been in, including a home theatre downstairs!  The little girls were full of energy, and we got to capture them playing with their rock collection, various places all over the house, and then at a nearby park since this family walks in the park a lot back home.  I had a hard time selecting just a handful of shots from the batch, so check out this SLIDESHOW RIGHT HERE!  The song was selected by the family, and I found a version of it by Brenda Lee!

the Studio School of Dance

Filed under: RP Photo in GeneralJanuary 18th, 2008

Monday evening of this week I got to be nostalgic once again — and return to my old dance studio that I spent HOURS AND HOURS at growing up.  The Studio School of Dance is that place.  Everything from tap, jazz, ballet and pointe — I did it all.  It was some of the best memories of my life, and I truly believe that it gave me a lot of the confidence that I have today!  If you are looking for a dance school for your little one, look no further.  They offer so much, and I was honored to be able to capture the little dancers, and the high school seniors.  Megan wanted some new pictures for the website and various other things.  I created a little collage below, and HERE IS THE SLIDESHOW!
